We, RAY Egelhof GmbH, are an internationally active manufacturer of firing systems, such as oil burners, gas burners and gas-oil combination burners in the output range from 10 kW to 70 MW. Our success is based on the knowledge, skills and commitment of our employees!
With pioneering work and the invention of the horizontal rotary atomiser, RAY has left its mark on the international oil and gas burner industry.

The most important dates in our company history:
- 1872: Founded in San Francisco by William S. Ray
- 1907: Production of the first oil distillate burner
- 1914: William S. Ray invents the horizontal rotary cup atomizer for the combustion of mineral oils
- 1930: Delivery of the first RAY rotary cup atomizers for the German shipbuilding industry by the then representative of RAY burners in Germany
- 1954: First deliveries of RAY burners to the Federal Republic of Germany
- 1957: Foundation of the German RAY oil and gas burner GmbH
- 1964: The newly designed RAY cup rotary atomizer for the European boiler market is produced in Germany
- 1967: The German company management takes over the RAY management for Europe
- 1988: The management of RAY oil and gas burner GmbH takes over the international activities within the RAY group
- 2018: Relocation of our production from Fellbach to Waiblingen-Neustadt
- 2019: Takeover of the activities of RAY oil and gas burner GmbH by RAY Egelhof GmbH
- 2019: Relocation of our administration to the premises of Otto Egelhof GmbH & Co.KG
- 2022: 150th company anniversary
